Unfortunately, my work orders from here a lot. It's a struggle to force myself to go in here. Super unprofessional service, I don't believe I've ever actually received what I've ordered, and God forbid you go at night time. Be prepared for a bunch of teenagers (employees) yelling and swearing at or to each other. We came from Brunswick and the Amato's there was outstanding. I've had more than a dozen people tell me they've reached out to corporate about this particular store to no avail. It's a bummer. My boyfriend and I used to get takeout once a week from the Brunswick store; not anymore! Try Severino's - you can thank me later.
Average food, relatively slow service vs. other locations. No indoor seating.
Congrats, done with going there. Every other time I go my order is messed up. 50% fail rate isn't a great business model. Tonight I had an Italian no oil extra pickle and my fiance got a chicken salad just lettuce and Greek olive, I got a regular and she got only onion. This has been going on for over a year and I'm tired of the free sandwiches and half hearted apologizes. Train new crew. Not going back.
I came in at 1030 pm to the main Street Westbrook store and ordered a 1/2 dozen stuffers the girl who waited on me looked up at clock and rolled her eyes at the thought of making my order. I was very insulted to think that a paying customer who help worker get a paycheck was such a bother for ordering something at 1030pm. On a couple other occasions I have ordered sandwiches and they were very poorly made. The store has no employees that have any kind of customer service skills. I'm going to start going intown to India street. Because it is all around better service.
To be fair, I've never been a fan of Amato's but that's where the guys at work wanted to go. The price here and the typical wait is not worth the mediocre quality of the food. They do have a very nice beverage selection and plenty of chips and cookies and the like, but with only one register you'll typically be waiting a while even if you're just getting a grab-and-go sandwich out of the cooler.
